Almost all VW models are equipped, in addition to the bodywork trim, with a trim around or against the side windows that also hold the rubber seals of the frame.
With the Volkswagen Beetle sedan, Type 3 and the Bay Window Bus, these molding clips are supplied with the trim and serve as a replacement.
For the Volkswagen Beetle convertible up to 1963 and the Volkswagen Vanagon, the clamps are used to mount the window rubbers on the inside and outside of the hinged windows .
With the Karmann Ghia, the rubber mouldings are fixed to the bodywork, but only on the outside of the doors.
