The door windows of the Karmann Ghia coupé are sealed from the bodywork by rubbers mounted against the roofline. These rubbers are not fixed directly to the roof, but are inserted into the aluminum frame mentioned here.
The same applies to the rear side windows, where the rubber is fixed in an aluminum frame also mentioned here.
The frame must be in good condition throughout, as corrosion and unwanted deformation can be so severe as to require replacement.
Don't forget to order the rubber between these moldings and the bodywork, as it probably won't be reusable. It's also worth ordering the rubbers above the side windows and around the rear side windows. All these rubbers are listed in the "Options" tab.
