A crankcase bulkhead, better known as a windage tray, prevents the oil from tipping to all sides during fast turns, powerful acceleration and braking, to avoid that oil cannot be sucked in.
The bulkhead is equipped with openings through which the oil can flow down, so that there will always be enough oil under the suction hose. A very simple but effective solution to maintain oil levels in all road conditions.
This bulkhead can only be fitted with the crankcase splitted, taking into account that the camshaft must not touch the bulkhead.
It is possible that after placing the windage tray, the oil temperature will rise compared to a similar situation without the tray.
